Member Benefits
Economic Rates
The Lakes Region Flying Club operates on a not-for-profit basis, so the rates are based on the true cost of flying and maintaining the aircraft. The costs are recalculated annually to make sure they are reflecting current fuel and maintenance cost trends. Currently, monthly membership dues are $135/month, with an hourly rate of $100/hr wet. |
Well Maintained Aircraft
Our aircraft is fully equipped with communication and navigation equipment, IFR-certified and protected from the elements in our own hangar. The club puts a priority on maintenance and all "squawks" are addressed immediately by the volunteer maintenance and operations officers. To see details on our airplane and how it is equipped, please click the Our Aircraft tab for more details |
Insurance

Contact with other pilots
With a membership cap of 15 at a well-maintained municipal airport, there is always an opportunity to meet pilots and learn something new. Whether a member needs a flight review or a safety pilot for the "6-6-HIT", Club members encourage each other to stay current AND proficient in the sky.

Overnights and longer trips
Lakes Region Flying Club members can book the plane for almost any length of time: an hour, a day, a weekend, or a week at a time. Members are limited to two week-long reservations per year, and may not reserve consecutive weekends, but there is no minimum hourly fee typically encountered at flight schools and FBOs.
